Sharing his heartfelt sentiments on the ban being imposed on Boxer Sarita by the International Boxing Body AIBA for her revolt against the misjudgment during the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, vice president of Manipur Olympic Association GA Ibopishak has said that everyone must not forget the contributions made by the state boxer to the boxing event.
Talking to this Daily, Ibopishak recalled that reactions to the controversial judgment had come not only from India and Manipur, but also from various other countries.
At this juncture, the AIBA and important boxing bodies need to reconsider the decision of ban imposed on this promising sportswoman, so as to relieve her from this shocking imbroglio.
It is sheer injustice to sabotage her sporting career, commented the MOA vice president.
Ibopishak opined sabotaging the career of a promising player amounts to lack of sporting spirit.
