No help from Manipur, Assam Govt, says Lakhinagar Development Club prez

Lakhinagar Development Club, Jirighat Cachar has alleged that neither the Manipur Government nor the Assam Government have extended any help to the fifty-three displaced people from Leingangpokpi village in Jiribam currently sheltering at Lakhinagar.
According to Binoy, president, Lakhinagar Development Club, Jirighat, Cachar, fifty-three displaced persons from Leingangpokpi fled to Lakhinagar Meetei Khun under Jirighat Police Station in Cachar district following the violence in Jiribam after the brutal murder of Soibam Saratkumar on June 6 .
Stating that the IDPs are still sheltering at Lakhinagar, he lamented that no help has come from both the Manipur and Assam Government.
However, many CSOs from Assam and Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS) from Manipur have extended valuable help including monetary aid to the conflict survivors.
He further shared that the Assam Government has compiled reports in this connection and expressed hope for swift assistance.
