MPA celebrates 37th raising day : Tributes offered to martyrs

The Koireng-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA today celebrated the 37th raising day of MPA at the party's different units.
Offering of floral tributes to the martyrs who had laid their lives in the course of the liberation movement, observing silence for two minutes in memory of the martyrs, reading out of the Military Affairs Committee's annual statement and speeches by leaders of the party and MPA were the main highlights of the raising day celebration, conveyed a press release issued by the outfit's publicity secretary M Shak-Hen.
The raising day celebration held at the party's central headquarters was graced by UNLF and MAC Chairman NC Koireng, MAC member Col K Puyaning and MPA Vice Chief of Army Staff Lt Col L Khongnangthaba as presidium members.
Central Committee members; M Iboyaima, officiating General Secretary; Y Abo, Secretary of Agriculture and Environment; O Chingkheinganbi, Secretary of Health and Family Welfare; Ksh Yoiheiba, Secretary of Organisation; M Munan, Secretary of Finance, directors of different departments, party cadres and combatants attended the raising day celebration.
At the general headquarters, MPA Chief of Army Staff Col M Chaoba presided over the raising day celebration and he unfurled the MPA flag.
At tactical headquarters-1, GSO-2 Lt Col N Inaoba was the president of the raising day celebration where Central Committee members TD Khuman Chiru, Secretary of Minority Affairs and M Sakhen, Secretary of Publicity were present.
GSO-2 Lt Col Th Wakheiba presided over the raising day celebration held at the tactical headquarters-2 .
UNLF General Secretary N Lancha who is also in charge of External Affairs presided over a raising day function held outside Manipur, the outfit conveyed.
The raising day celebrations held at Kanglei, Laksa and Sindam were presided by Col I Tomba, Lt Col W Chumthang and Lt Col M Mannaba respectively.
The MPA raising day was also celebrated in the valley districts of Manipur with the respective operation commanders as functional presidents.
The raising day celebrations held at the training centres were presided by the respective training officers.
The MPA raising day celebration was also participated by armed cadres of KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK(Pro) and RPF, the outfit said.
It also conveyed gratitude to all the people who took part in the raising day celebration and extended logistic support toward successful celebration of the MPA raising day.
