PREPAK against senseless acts of violence: Nongrenkhomba
Source: Hueiyen News Service

Imphal, October 08 2011: Chairman of People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) N Nongdrenkhomba has greeted all the people including those in different professions, media persons in print as well electronic media and all revolutionary groups fighting for liberation on the occasion of the outfit's 34th anniversary.

In his message, chairman Nongrenkhomba observed that formation of Co-ordination Committee (CorCom) with a sense of unity among the revolutionary group is a step forward in the freedom struggle.

This effort has not only brought together the constituent seven revolutionary groups but also pave the way for unity among all the revolutionary groups pursuing the cause of the people sincerely in both the hills and the valley.

This would ultimately help in taking a firm stand over unification of the whole South East Asian region, Nongdrenkhomba expressed confidence, while appealing the people to extend their support to CorCom.

Stating that the unity among the revolutionary groups is the outcome of ceaseless effort in this regard, Nongdrenkhomba said that one task that is lying before all of us today is to sustain this unity, make necessary amends and be ready to make the supreme sacrifice for motherland.

Before the subjugation of Kangleipak, discipline and character of our forefathers added prestige to the society.

But today, all that have been lost.

In this age of globalization, it is the dance and music which have been introducing the State to the world.

In addition, the sporting talents of its people has been able to secure a place of pride for Kangleipak at the International level.

It is because of such innate talents of the people that a new era has been ushered in.

Now it is high time for the people to work towards becoming self-reliant and leave behind dependence on others, Nongdrenkhomba called upon the people.

During ancient time, people of Kangleipak used to be bound together by a common socio-economy policy and the people both in the hills and the valley used to produce and share the goods essential for living.

Because of such close relationship, no one could untie knot between the hills and the valley people, Nongdrenkhomba noted.

We need to look back and understand who are our enemies and the politicians are among those who are trying to drive wedge among the brethren.

They are the ones responsible for usurping whatever resources is left for the people, Nongdrenkhomba alleged.

He said that PREPAK does not support any form of terrorism and it is against such act of senseless violence.

So, we need to stay alert against all those who are perpetrating violence and trying to tarnish the image of the revolutionary groups fighting for the cause of the people.

PREPAK is for the people and it is along with the people that that it has taken up the cause.

Unfortunately, State terrorism is being unleashed unabated in Kangleipak today and the innocent people are being subjected to various sort of atrocities with fake encounter, custodian killing, rape, etc becoming the order of the day, Nongdrenkhomba added.
