Quinquennial Congress to be held

The Manipur Christian Congregation with an objective to renew the faith and strengthen the fellowship of Christians in the State will celebrate Quinquennial Congress on the theme "Called to Holiness" under the initiative of the Manipur Baptist Convention, MBC at TNL Ground, Ukhrul from March 26 to March 29, reports Mungchan Zimik.
Apart from worship programme, the Quinquennial Congress celebration which will be hosted by Tangkhul Baptist Churches Association TBCA, will showcase vibrant traditional cultural shows of all the tribes of Manipur.
It is expected that more than 5000 delegates from 1284 Churches of Manipur from 29 affiliated units of MBC will attend the MBC Quinquennial Congress.
International prominent speakers Rev Dr Benjamin L Chan ABC USA, Rev Bonny Resu general secretary, APBF, Rev Dr Solomon Rongpi general secretary, CBCNEI, Rev Dr Anthony Yeoh, chairman, Singapore Baptist Convention and Rev Kwak Do Hee, president, Korea Baptist Convention will deliver gospel lectures.
The TBCA executive secretary Yarngam Muivah said that as part MBC Quinquennial Congress, cleansing Ukhrul town and important places are underway.
He further appealed to all the organisations and individual(s) concerned not to impose any bandh during the Quinquennial Congress.
