Aid extended to affected villagers

Tadubi AC MLA, N Kayisii provided immediate assistance to the villagers of Willong Khunou, Pumdumlong and Chakha villages under Willong Sub-Division who have been affected by the recent heavy rain and hailstorms.
The recent heavy rain and hailstorms wreaked havoc and left a trail of destruction in these remote villages where many churches, school buildings and houses have been destroyed rendering many homeless.
The MLA while extending a helping hand to the distressed villagers, acknowledged the urgent need for assistance aftermath the storm.
Considering the gravity of the situation, the MLA promptly arranged the distribution of essential relief materials, including CGI sheets to the affected villagers.
Caretaker Chairman of ADC, Senapati A Kapani also visited the site and took stock of the destruction.
He assured the villagers that the repairing work will be initiated at the earliest so that academic curriculum of the school students are not affected.
The storm also hit Tadubi and surrounding villages of Mao such as Laii and Paomata Circle affecting many households.
It is worth noting that heavy rain accompanied by hailstones affected massive vegetation leading to huge economic loss to farmers community of the region.
The local MLA also extended solidarity to the affected families in different parts of Northeastern region including the Peren region in Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram.
