COCOMI provides aids

Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) provided relief materials to village volunteers and Meira Paibis at Keithelmanbi.
The materials provided include mattresses and torch/flash lights etc to aid village volunteers and Meira Paibis in guarding their village.
COCOMI relief convenor and assistant coordinator Joychandra Konthoujam said the materials were given to the villagers volunteers and Meira Paibis to help them cope with cold and aid them in keeping vigil at night.
Even though the State Government has claimed peace has returned to Manipur, Meiteis are unable to go beyond Keithelmanbi towards the hills.
People are unable to go beyond Sekmai and Pallel.
Firing and killing of people has not stopped, he said.
Peace has not returned yet.
People aren't allowed to go to Moreh.
Displaced people are still in relief camps.
The Government must take up all efforts for peace to return to Manipur and safeguard its territorial integrity, he said.
Asking if the paramilitary forces have been sent to Manipur to be spectators of the violence that are taking place, he said the Government should enforce and maintain law and order.
