Speaking on the occasion, Priyadarshini Daripa expressed that the handloom expo will bring benefits to the weavers' community as they will be able to understand and get updated on information related to schemes launched by the government of India in the field of handloom and handicrafts.
She also urged the weavers to brand their products with the handloom mark without which their products could create a negative impact on the customers.
The handloom mark will also enable the weavers to participate in the handloom expo and mela organised in different states throughout the year.
