Jan Kalyan Shivir concludes across five districts
thousands benefit from Government welfare services

The three-day Public Welfare Camp, Jan Kalyan Shivir, concluded successfully across Bishnupur, Pherzawl, Kakching, Senapati and Thoubal districts, bringing a wide range of Central and State government welfare schemes and services closer to the people.
BISHNUPUR
In Bishnupur district, the final day of the camp was held at Maibram Mandop near Ibudhou Thangjing Temple, Moirang, where more than 3,000 citizens participated and availed various government services.
Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, MLA Moirang AC Thongam Shanti and Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur Pooja Elangbam attended the concluding programme and inspected the service stalls established by different departments.
They were accompanied by Additional District Magistrate Bishnupur Toijam Opendro and SDO Moirang Chriom Somerendro.
Addressing the gathering, DC Pooja Elangbam expressed appreciation to the people for their enthusiastic participation and said that Jan Kalyan Shivir was aimed at ensuring effective delivery of welfare schemes through fresh registrations, correction of errors in records, disposal of pending cases and grievance redressal.
More than 34 departments participated in the Bishnupur camp, including Health, Social Welfare, Fisheries.
CAF&PD, MSPDCL, Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandly, District Child Protection Unit, Planning, Election and MSRLM among others.
PHERZAWL
In Pherzawl district, the three-day Jan Kalyan Shivir campaign also concluded successfully at Pherzawl Community Hall, with residents turning up in large numbers to access various government services.
The final day witnessed participation of 738 citizens, with 486 applications received and 286 disposed of, achieving a grievance redressal rate of 58.84 per cent.
The campaign, organised under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Anunay Anand and supervised by ADC Zosanglur Joute, provided a single-window platform for Aadhaar services, health checkups, CMHT and PM-JAY registrations, and information on several welfare schemes.
The campaign recorded encouraging outcomes throughout its duration, with 167 people attending on the second day, 161 applications received and 101 disposed of immediately.
KAKCHING
The three-day Jan Kalyan Shivir in Kakching district concluded at the DC Office Complex, with around 1,100 citizens participating and 1,121 applications received for different schemes.
A total of 977 applications were disposed of during the three-day programme.
On the final day, MLA Wabagai AC Dr Usham Deben Singh and MLA Kakching AC Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh, along with Deputy Commissioner Kakching Angeline Renita, distributed benefits and scheme cards to eligible beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries received CMHT and ration cards, seeds and fertilizers from Horticulture & Soil Conservation, agricultural nutrients, and Chief Minister Widow Pension Scheme benefits.
The final day witnessed 507 citizens attending the camp, with 521 applications received and 485 disposed of.
SENAPATI
In Senapati, the three-day Jan Kalyan Shivir concluded at the SDO/BDO Office Complex, Purul, marking the completion of a district-wide outreach campaign conducted across all sub-divisions.
During the concluding programme, various welfare benefits and services were provided to beneficiaries, including issuance of land ownership certificates, renewal of PM-KISAN registrations, distribution of tree saplings and facilitation of banking services and schemes.
The campaign was conducted under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S and supervised by Sub-Divisional Officers of Senapati.
Lairouching, Willong, Tadubi, Song Song, Paomata, Phaibung-Chilivai and Purul.
According to the cumulative report, a total of 2,644 people participated in the camp across the district, with 1,870 applications received and 1,696 disposed of on the spot.
THOUBAL
The three-day Public Welfare Camp, Jan Kalyan Shivir, organised by the District Administration Thoubal, concluded today at the Election Counting Hall, DC Complex, Thoubal.
The campaign witnessed participation from around 2,000 citizens, while a total of 1,044 applications were received from beneficiaries seeking various government services.
Out of these, 495 applications were disposed of during the camp.
On the concluding day, MLA of Heirok AC Thokchom Radheshyam and MLA of Wangjing Tentha AC Paonam Brojen, distributed health cards to beneficiaries and provided food baskets to tuberculosis (TB) patients.
The programme was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Yumnam Robita, along with various district-level officers.
