Responding to queries on measures to solve power shortage in the district, the official said that upgrading electric sub-stations will serve the purpose in the long run while switching off power supply for few hours will be a temporary solution however it is not feasible.
He stated that with the increase of population and establishment of new colonies/villages and increasing commercial activities in the District Headquarters add to power overload.
