Integrated communication and outreach programme on SVEEP conducted

A one-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Systematic Voter's Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was organised at Royal Academy of Law, Oinam, Bishnupur district today.
I Jugeshwar Singh, Secretary of the Governing Body, Royal Academy of Law; Eliza Maisnam, Principal of the college and Dr Akham Rajashree, Assistant Professor of the college graced the occasion as the presidium members, said a press release by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Regional Office (RO), Imphal.
Speaking as the resource person, Dr Akham Rajashree informed the gathering that the right to vote is a constitutional right.
Speaking as the chief guest, I Jugeshwar Singh said voters should know antecedents of candidates and manifestos of political parties and practise ethical and informed voting.
Discussion on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail(VVPAT) were also held during the programme.
An on-the-spot quiz contest was held and prizes along with certificates were handed over to the winners.
Certificates of participation were also distributed to the attendees.
As a part of the programme, the private registered troupe of CBC, RO, Imphal namely, M/s Sanakhuthek presented
cultural activities.
