'Day Out Talent Hunt' organised for conflict survivors

In a bid to motivate the conflict survivors who are taking shelter at various relief camps set up in Wangkhei Assembly Constituency, a 'Day Out Talent Hunt' programme was held today at Awungching, Imphal West district.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Wangkhei AC MLA Thangjam Arunkumar.
As part of the 'Day Out Talent Hunt', a painting competition was conducted for displaced children who are taking shelter at relief camps.
Thangjam Arunkumar and renowned psychiatrist Prof RK Lenin also interacted with the conflict survivors and motivated them.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof RK Lenin said that the people who have been displaced by the present conflict have been going through a very tough time and many are suffering from various health & mental issues.

Appealing to the people to not lose hope and strive to find meaning in one's life, he said, "Hope has the power to save, help us through difficult moments in our lives" .
He continued that many people survived the holocaust, concentration camps set up by the Nazis as they did not lose hope, endured the horrors and carried on with a determination to live.
Stressing on the need to focus on education, agriculture & other sectors despite the prevailing situation of the State, he conveyed that people of Manipur should learn from how Japan established itself as a global economic power at peace with the world despite the massive devastation it suffered in World War II .
Wangkhei Kendra Relief Committee convenor Mahendra Naorem also attended the event.
