Army aids displaced students, injured kid

Indian Army reached out to the children at the Leimaram relief camp in Bishnupur district and provided them essential study materials and stationery.
The Army is committed to instilling peace and harmony in the state of Manipur, as well as recognising the importance of continuation of education in challenging times, a PIB (DW) release press said.
The distribution of the stationery, which included notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essential writing materials, would help and motivate the students staying in the relief camps due to the unrest in the state since May 2023, the release added.
On the other-hand, army provided timely treatment to a three-year-old girl with severe burns.
The victim, Timror of Ngarumphung village in Imphal East district, was brought to the Army medical team at Yangaingpokpi with second-degree burns on both feet, leaving her unable to walk and needing immediate medical help.
The army medical team acted swiftly and administered first-aid and pain relief.
Driven by their commitment to the well-being of the local population, the Army doctors demonstrated professionalism and promptness in providing aid in an emergency, as well as dedication to the residents of the region, the PRO informed in another release.
