KCB celebrates Foundation Day

Imphal, May 20 2024: Kangleipak Calendar Board (KCB) celebrated its 16th Foundation Day at Manipur Press Club, Imphal today.

The celebration was graced by JNIMS, Director, Prof Deben Singh Laishram; JNIMS, Medical Superintendent, Dr Kh Lokeshwor; KCB president Acharya Ahambijit Sairom, advisor Akham Langol and vice president Dr Moirangthem Surjit as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Ahambijit Sairom said that before the establishment of KCB there was much confusion and ambiguity on the date for various practices of customary rituals by the people of Manipur.

"However, since its establishment, KCB has been providing accurate data to calendar publishing houses for accurate publications of calendar based on scientific methods", he added.

He further appealed to the people to refer only to those calendars which contain registration approved by the KCB to obtain genuine and accurate information.
