SHADOW, AKSDO, YUCC register big wins in MNCA U16 trophy

SHADOW, AKSDO and YUCC were easy winners on the second day of the 4th MNCA U16 Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2023-24.SHADOW outclassed TCMDC by 8 wickets in their encounter at Model Hr Sec School & Oriental College Ground on Wednesday.
TCMDC batted first and were bowled out for 80 in 23.4 overs, with Kh Prakash (24) being the only batter to score in double figures.
SHADOW'S scalping was led by A Goshan, who took four wickets.
James Sahu also performed admirably with the ball, getting three wickets.
Nirmal Mishra took two wickets, while S Lanchenba took one.
SHADOW then maintained their form by chasing down the score in 20.2 overs, losing only two wickets in the process.
The run-getters in their 8-wicket win were James Sahu (21 not out), S Lanchenba (20 not out), Paras Sharma (18), and Maverick Wakabam (1).AKSDO, meanwhile, hammered Al-Ameen by 132 runs at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Put in to bat, AKSDO set a respectable total of 216 in 35 overs.
L Samson shone with the bat with an unbeaten knock of 69 as Kh Bishorjit scored 51 and S Kaiku contributed 24.AKSDO then needed 23.2 overs to bowl out Al-Ameen for 84 for their 132-run win.
S Kaiku picked up 3 wickets while N Sanayai, Lanchenba and L Nungshiba claimed 2 scalps each, with Suranjit taking one.
Rashid (37) was the lone bright spot for Al-Ameen in their dismal run chase.
YUCC enjoyed a huge 277-run win over RULE at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Ricky took centre stage in the YUCC innings, blasting an unbeaten 142 after his team elected to bat first and put up a total of 299 for 7 wickets in the allotted 35 overs.
YUCC then bowled well to eliminate RULE'S batting order for a mere 22 runs in 14 overs.
Joychand, Kenedy, and Lamleiba each grabbed-two wickets, while Jamesbond and Malangba both took one in their side's stunning victory.
Model, on the other hand, beat YWC-L by 2 wickets at Dhobi Lampak.
Model won by chasing down YWC-L's score of 184/9 in 34.1 overs with 2 wickets to spare.
