Churachandpur 1st Div league Goal fest as Lenlai Club, MYC win

Lenlai Club and Molnom Youth Club (MYC) notched wins over their respective opponents to enjoy their unbeaten run today in the ongoing Khaikhanlian Memorial District 1st Division league 2017 at Peace Ground, Tuibong .
In the first match, Lenlai Club eased to tame Sanakhang FC (SAFC) 3-1 as they rode on a brace by K Lalrintluanga.
It was K Lalrintluanga who handed an early lead to Lenlai Club in the 3rd minute.
However, the lead was cancelled out by SAFC through Paominlun in the 15th minute .
Michael Lalnun-enga found the net of their rivals in the 35th minute to hand the lead to LC again.
LC were sitting pretty at the end of the first half with a one-goal cushion .
The second half saw both sides intensifying their attacks in their attempts to alter the score-line.
Lenlai Club’s K Lalrintluanga struck his second in the 64th minute to seal his team’s easy victory .
SAFC made relentless attempts to draw level.
But their rivals’ defenders withstood the attacks with deft handling and denied any penetration inside their citadel .
Their third win in a row, today’s victory earned Lenlai Club a total of nine points in three matches to stay on top of the Pool D league table .
In another thrilling and undoubtedly the most high-scoring match, Molnom Youth Club (MYC) carved out an exciting 6-4 win over Zenhang Lamka Youth Club (ZLYC) thanks to a treble by Lunminthang Haokip .
The match started on an attacking note as both teams vied for ball possession.
MYC had the upper hand right from the start and it was Lunminthang Haokip who put his team in the driver’s seat after he opened the account in the 15th minute .
SL Thangtinsei Haokip extended the lead for MYC in the 29th minute before Kamgoumuan of ZLYC pulled one back in the 31st minute.
Lunminthang netted his second in the 34th minute and the two teams went to the break with 3-1 lead of MYC intact.
ZLYC made a surge in the second half and Thangmuanlian booted home a goal in the 51st minute to reduce the goal difference .
Barely a minute later, Lunminthang found the net to complete his treble .
Thangkhochon Chongloi (56′ and 72′) asserted his class and hit a brace in the later part of the match .
ZLYC showed all eagerness to draw level and Henry Thanglalmuon and Chinkhanlal struck a goal each in the 67th and 74th minute.
However, the script did not change for ZLYC as they slumped to defeat .
MYC were placed second in the Pool D after three matches.
