UMA reach RFYS National Football C'ship final

Unique Model Academy (UMA), Manipur will be meeting Progressive High School, Goa on January 5 in the sub-junior boys's (class VI-VIII ) final at the 5th RFYS National Football Championship which is organised by Reliance Foundation in Mumbai.
Unique Model Academy reached the final of the tournament despite losing 0-2 to Betkuchi School, Guwahati as the latter team have been scrapped by organising committee for featuring fraudulent players.
The goals for the Guwahati team in the match which saw UMA loss its keeper Meisnam Meiraba after second caution in the 68th minute, were scored by Zuben Kikon (43') and Rohit Jugi (63').S Annaroy of UMA (3') and Betkuchi School's Karib Hajam (41'), Luis Saikia (44') and Ricky Neog (54') and Narayan Rabha (69') were yellow carded in this tense semi-final match.
Meanwhile, Manipur's Nilmani English School also reached final in the school girls' (class IX-XII) competition after beating Titaguri High School, Kokrajhar 1-0 today thanks to Mayang-lambam Jeena Chanu's strike in the 56th minute.
Nilmani English School will take on St Josephs International School, Hisar which they played out a 0-0 draw during league stage, in the final match on January 5 .
