Rain adds to the bone biting chill

Amidst the chilling cold gripping the entire State, the State is also receiving continuous rainfall since January 1.According to a report of the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, the State received 19.01 mm of rainfall today while the maximum and minimum temperatures were 21.3 Degree Celsius and 8.48 Degree Celsius respectively.
District-wise maximum temperature, minimum temperature and rainfall rate for today were Bishnupur 15.4 Degree Celsius, 12.63 Degree Celsius and 21 mm respectively; Churachandpur 17.46 Degree Celsius, 12.71 Degree Celsius and 12.7 mm respectively; Imphal East 15.49 Degree Celsius, 13.62 Degree Celsius and 28.8 mm respectively; Imphal West 15.64 Degree Celsius, 12.3 Degree Celsius and 19.1 mm respectively; Kakching 16.64 Degree Celsius, 12.7 Degree Celsius and 13 mm and Kangpokpi 14.4 Degree Celsius, 12.1 Degree Celsius and 19.4 mm.
The respective figures for Noney are 16.69 Degree Celsius, 14.01 Degree Celsius and 21.2 mm; Senapati 13.82 Degree Celsius, 8.48 Degree Celsius and 22 mm; Tamenglong 15.79 Degree Celsius, 10.56 Degree Celsius and 21.2 mm.
Likewise the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in Tengnoupal district were 21.43 Degree Celsius and 10.56 Degree Celsius respectively and it received 11.7 mm rainfall.
