6th National Conference of AISGEC held

The 6th National Conference of All India State Government Employees Confederation was held at Kolkata today in which Manipur Confederation president M Joykumar attended as one of the presidium members.
A press release issued by State secretary AISGEC stated that around 300 delegates from 26 States of the country were present for the conference.
Central Trade Union leader Amarjeet Kaur, while speaking at the function, stated that the economic situation of the country, under the Modi led Government, has worsened so much that the situation has become similar to the pre-Independence period.
The contractualization and mass termination of labourers/workers have caused immense grievances to the labourers, she added.
The statement added that a representation, demanding immediate implementation of 7th Pay to State Government employees, was also submitted and further sought direction from the authority concerned to the State Government.
