Four coaches, six athletes from Manipur among awardees

As many as 4 coaches and 6 athletes from Manipur were among 162 athletes and 84 coaches who received the Sports Authority of India's (SAI) first-ever Institutional Awards for their outstanding performance in National and international competitions.
The awardees (all from SAI North East Regional Centre, Imphal) were Sepak Takraw coaches, Th Muhindro and Kh Jotin and Wushu coaches, Th Lalitchandra and S Ashalata Devi, said Regional Director of SAI North East Regional Centre, Imphal in a statement.
Meanwhile, athletes from SAI North East Regional Centre, Imphal who have been feted with the said award are Sepak Takraw players, Elangbam Priya, Laishram Mamta, Malemnganba Singh and Yumnam Akash; Wushu player, Naorem Roshibina and archer Th Sanai.
AMSTA greets coaches and athletes Meanwhile, the All Manipur Sepaktakraw Association has greeted coaches Th Muhindro and Kh Jotin and athletes, E Priya Devi, L Mamta Devi, Y Akash and S Malemnganba on being conferred the Institutional Awards for athletes and coaches by the Sports Authority of India.
The association president also flagged off State mens and women team for 31st Senior National Sepak Takraw Championship from Khuman Lampak today.
The National Championship is due to be held from November 21 to 25 at Lovely Professional University, Phagware, Punjab.
