Civic Action Programme109 Bn CRPF distributes bicycles to students

As part of the Civic Action Programme, 109 Bn CRPF on Wednesday distributed bicycles to students from BPL families at Mongsangei, Imphal West district.
10 bicycles were handed over to poor students of Mongsangei in the presence of AK Ibomcha, convenor MKAL; S Surender Singh, president Sun Club Mongsangei; Kh Hera Singh, president SWYC Club Mongsangei; S Amubi Singh, president SIYWO Club Mongsangei; Kiyam Rajiv Singh, Deputy Commandant; Parvinder Kaur, Deputy Commandant; Alex L Khopom, Assistant Commandant; officials and personnel of the battalion, said a release issued by 109 Bn CRPF.
Bal Krishna Ram, Commandant 109 Bn CRPF also attended the programme as chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Bal Krishna Ram expressed his joy in getting the opportunity to assist the needy and poor students and assured that the unit will continue to serve the people by carrying out such humanitarian activities.
He also appealed to the public to follow Covid Appropriate behaviours and maintain good hygiene to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
The commandant recalled that the battalion had also constructed a public toilet at Karong, Senapati, distributed sports items to Thong Upper Primary School, sewing machines to widows of Senapati, solar lanterns to villagers of Laii, Tadubi, Mao Karong and Kathikho Karong.
It may be mentioned that the 109 Bn CRPF had also conducted a 'Pulse Polio Immunization drive' at Mongsangei village on January 30, 2021 .
