Imphal, November 17 2021:
The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has launched a digital platform christened "Sarkar Taribra" in opposition to the initiative of the BJP-led Government "Chief Ministerda Haisi", today.
At the launch function, AICC-in charge of Manipur, Bhakta Charan Das stated that the Chief Ministerda Haisi programme is a testament of the Chief Minister not taking the people of Manipur seriously.
He asked how many genuine problems of the people have been addressed under the programme.
Saying that people can air their grievances to the "Sarkar Taribra," of the MPCC, Bbhakta Charan Das said that the Congress would send the grievances to an appropriate platform to draw the attention of the Government.
The MPCC will also highlight the misdeeds of the Government through the same platform, he added.

Claiming that the BJP-led Government has been undermining the liberty, rights and freedom of the people for the last four years and a half, Bhakta Charan Das also accused the incumbent Government of silencing the media and threatening several social activists.
Asking why "CM da Haishi" was implemented only recently, the Congress leader maintained that the move was taken up to win people's favour only when the Assembly election is at hand.
"How can the Government find a solution for the people's grievances when they are the ones that silence the people's voice in the first place," he asked.
MPCC vice president Kh Devbrata stated that all the functions of the State Government are being discharged as per the Rules of Business under Article 166 of the Constitution.
The BJP led Government is claiming to be listening to the plights of the people by launching Meeyamgee Numit, Hill Leaders Day, Go to Village, Go to Hill and CM da Haisi, he said and asked on what condition the Government redressed the grievances.
The Government doesn't have the power to redress the grievances put up by the people beyond the Rules of Business, he reasoned.
Claiming that such a move reveals the propagandist nature of the BJP, Kh Devbrata asked if the State Cabinet has given its assent on the move or was it launched as a State policy after amending the Rules of Business.
The people and the Opposition are also not aware which department will take responsibility for the initiative, he said and added that Sarkar Taribra was floated considering all these lapses.
He also said that the Sarkar Taribra platform will maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the complainants.
At the function, a Youtube channel of MPCC was also launched.
MPCC president N Loken and other party leaders also attended the programme.
