Annual Yaoshang Sports, organized as part of Yoashang Festival by the Manipuri Meitei Association, Bangalore (MMAB) came to a close at Magnum Arena Ground, Sarjapur Main Road, Bangalore on March 15 .
In a release, MMAB said the event was participated by Manipuri community living in Bangalore.
The multi-event sporting extravaganza spanned three days, March 8, 14 and 15, added the publicity and communication team.
MMAB informed that Sanasam Johnson Singh & Kangabam Ajay Kumar were crowned badminton winners in Men's doubles whereas Sanjoy Thoudam & Doren Mangang ended up as runners up.
Badminton event was played at Gurukul Sports Academy, Siddapura, Whitefield Main Road on March 8 .
The release also added, CMU (Chikka Manipuri United) � A lifted the 3rd Srinivas Singha Memorial Cup by defeating KFK (Kanglasha Football Klub) � A in the Six a side football match.
Football matches were held at Magnum Arena, 3/1, Sarjapur Main Road on March 14 -15 informed the Publicity team.
In other events, Hidam Armstong overcame Tekcham Roshan in Men's singles Table Tennis while Hidam Armstong & Samarjeet Sanjenbam pocketted the Men's double title after defeating Ahenba & Khumanthem Darvilin.
In athletics, Sanaleika Yumlembam won the 20 meter race for girls below 5 years while Priyo Tourangbam emerged as the sprint king after racing out Arvin Oinam and Thoujan Thokchom in 100 sprint event.
The chess squares were conquered by Koijam Lemba after outwitting Bobo informed MMAB.
Entertainment sports, shared MMAB, were also part of the event where Dhaksika Oinam and Boicha Maibam were the winners in spoon race for girls and men's section.
Oinam Bidyaluxmi won the blind hit and needle race in ladies section, Konsam Anjali successfully carried the marble on the spoon among the ladies while Puinabati Yumkhaibam won the ladies musical chair.
The team of Langlen Yumnam, Puinabati Yumkhaibam, Konsam Anjali, Sushma Yumnam, Arish Khumanthem, Oinam Linda were the champions in Tug of War.
To the delight of every one Laishram Sharita Devi, former world boxing champion, carried Chaphu on her head and won the Chaphu race added MMAB.
