Inspite of a determined half century from Chandra kumar GYC suffered 12 run defeat to AACT in a Super Six league match of the ongoing Pongal Cricket Tournament 2004 at Moreh.
Batting first on winning the toss, AACT through some brief but vital partnerships scored 179 runs within the allotted 30 overs.
The AACT total is based on a blistering knock of 29 runs in just eight balls and scores of 30 and 24 from Jammal and Rahman respectively.
Chasing the target, the GYC innings folded up at 166 with Chandra Kumar (52) waging a lone battle as wickets tumbled at regular intervals on the other end.
Sunil (23) and Nizam (22) were the other notable contributors to the team score.
