Kohima, December 28:
Even as the NSCN-IM supremos Th Muivah and Isak Chisi Swu are now in Nagaland and holding the " exchange of views and pinions" sessions with the Naga NGOs and Naga intellectuals after having a series of talks with the top brass of the Government of India in New Delhi recently, the Naga National Council (NNC) has lambasted the former of putting a cart before a horse.
The NNC belonging to I Panger Walling faction issued statement to the Nagaland based media has said that the issue of Naga integration should not be discussed with the GoI as a priority issue.
The NNC statement said that sovereignty issue should be placed as the most important one on top of other important issues.
The NNC statement accused the NSCN-IM of "discussing only the Naga integration in their talks with the GoI".
If their talks (NSCN-IM) result only in integration of India-occupied Naga areas then the NSCN will made a formidable error and the Nation (Naga Nation) will never forgive them", NCC said.
It further said that cease-fire and dialogues of the NSCN-IM with the GOI over the last seven years had had the effect of weakening not only the NSCN itself but also the Naga political issue.
