NSA successful in producing world class female players

Players at the National Sports Academy at Khuman Lampak have begun to show their talents in various occasions lately.
Besides the male players, female players have shown to the world that the academy in the state has the ability to produce world class players successfully.
Established in 2007, the academy is housing 71 female players for six different events at present.
The number of players in Archery is 11 while the it is 15 in Boxing, 11 in Judo, 18 in Taekwondo, 12 in Wrestling and four in Weightlifting.
Hueiyen Lanpao had exclusive interviews with some of the female players of the academy who have won medals in various national and international championships.
The players whom Hueiyen Lanpao talked with were Taekwondo players Hathoikim Chongloi, Thokchom Sanjita, Prasida Nongmaithem, Naoroibam Jina, Thokchom Inaobi, Chanamthabam Malemnganbi, Yendrembam Greetika, Soibam Tina; archers Maibam Pushpa, K Pushpabati; Judokan Nongmeikapam Gyanileima, Thounaoja Martina, Phamdom Aruna, Mongjam Kabita, Akham Malemnganbi and Khaidem Sanathoi.
With all the practices and study schedules, it is not an easy task for someone to meet the players in the academy.
Only on Sunday, they get time to meet visitors.
Among the players, Mongjam Kabita from Mayang Imphal Konchak is the first player to play in international championships and win medal.
Kabita participated in the 4th Asian youth Judo Championships 2010 held in Bangkok in 44 kg category for the first time and won a silver medal.
After that she won a bronze mdal in the 6th Asian Youth Judo Championships 2012 held in Chinese Taipei.
Talking to Hueiyen Lanpao, Kabita stressed the need for instroducing an exclusive class for English speaking in the academy so that players from this academy should not have any problem while communicating with other countries' players in the international arena.
