For effective implementation and make the ambitious �Vision India Project� conceived by the Asian Football Confederation result-oriented, plans are on to form a task force, informed AMFA president A Santoshkumar.
The task force would comprise of representatives of the State Government, district associations, local clubs, media fraternity and the private sector, he said while asserting that AMFA has finished necessary arrangement.
Interacting with newspersons at his Mapal Kangjeibung office room today, the president detailed on the AFC project kick-starting simultaneously at two Chinese cities on May 27 and six Indian federation representatives, including himself and AMFA secretary L Ranjit Roy, attending the inauguration programme.
Intended to develop Asian football to compete with the best in the world and AFC giving special emphasis to tap Chinese talents, Santoshkumar highlighted that only seven months were consumed in devising mechanism and actual implementation of the �Vision Asia Project� in china.
With Manipur one of two State selected by All India Football Federation to pursue the AFC �vision� development of football at the school level is top priority of the AMFA, he said while adding that equal importance would be given towards maximum exposure of players and provide AFC licence holders to coach Super Division teams by next year.
He also conveyed of the AFC suggestion to actively involve AMFA�s constituent units and local clubs for effective implementation of the �vision�.
Citing tremendous public and Chinese Government support in developing football in the communist country, the AMFA president also fervently appealed to all concerned to contribute their might for successful implementation of the AFC project so that State players with abundant talents do not go waste.
