5th MNCA Elite Tournament SCCC register 64 run victory against Al-Ameen

The Sangai Champion Cricket Club (SCCC) earned their first group (A) stage victory in the 5th MNCA W Prahlada and Ramananda Elite Tournament-2021 by beating Al-Ameen by 64 runs today at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground, Luwangsangbam.
SCCC, which chose to bat first after, faced stiff resistance from Al-Ameen bowlers before bundling out for 154 in 36.1 overs.
But SCCC bowlers performed exceptionally well to restrict their rivals to 90 all out in 22.4 overs.
Kisan Singh 43 and Nanao Singh Laishram 36 were the significant scorers for SCCC today before Pinkey Singh Sanasam, Rakeshwor Republic Hidangmayum and Sandeep Chakraborty wreaked havoc across the batting line up of Al-Ameen.
Al Ameen's Md Basir Rahman 28 and Muhammed Al Bashid 21 were the only significant contributors in the chase as other three batsmen were sent off on ducks and remaining batsmen on single digit scores.
Pinkey of SCCC enjoyed a four wicket haul for 8 in his spell of 5 overs starting with Md Basir Rahman of Al-Ameen while Rakeshwor Republic fetched three wickets including the last wicket for 27 runs in 5.4 overs.
Sandeep Chakraborty on the other hand picked up two wickets for 20 in 6 overs which include a maiden.
Pinkey who led the Al-Ameen collapse by dismissing 4 crucial wickets was adjudged man of the match.
