Red Shield Division organised a medical camp at Leimakhong garrison on May 30, informed a PIB statement.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr Atima Dwivedi wife of major general GG Dwivedi GOC Red Sheild Division.
The focus was to create awareness on prevalent diseases among the local populace in the rural areas as well as to educate them on affordable measures to prevent commonly occurring diseases.
A total of 572 patients were examined and given free medicines.
Meanwhile, 11 Garhwal Rifles under the aegis of 73 Mt Brigade organised a veterinary camp at Sendra on May 31, informed a PIB statement.
302 animals including 792 poultry livestock were examined and treated by the doctors of the Remount and veterinary Corps officials.
