The mortal remains of Naik Haulal Thaum of Ukhrul district and Sepoy Sochinpem of Churachandpur district were received at Tulihal Airport with full military honours.
Both the martyrs belonged to 14 Assam Rifles Regiment deployed in Operation Rakshak in J&K.These martyrs made supreme sacrifice in service of the nation by keeping the high tradition and glory of the Indian army, said a PIB DW release.
A solemn tribute was paid to these brave soldiers by all those who were present at the airport.
Later, the life less bodies of the martyrs were handed over to their relatives for performing the last rites, the release added.
NCC training: Under the aegis of Red Shield Division, a 15-day long annual Army Attachment Training Camp for NCC cadets was organised by 5/8 Gorkha Rifles from May 15 to 30.The camp was attended by 30 Senior Division cadets of 14 Battalions NSS, Imphal.
Students of class XII of local college who had a good feel of �Army Way of Life� in this short span with the troops.
