Imphal, December 24 2018:
The lack of medical infrastructure in the remote village of Joupi and surrounding areas of the TM Dingpi region of South Manipur deprives the locals of basic medical care, which has resulted in the spread of various diseases which could have been cured by basic medical attention.
Jhoupi Batallion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(South) conducted a medical camp under Op Sadbhavna at Joupi village on 22 December 2018 .
The medical staff of Joupi Battalion provided free medical aid and medicines to the needy people of all villages of the Area.
A total of 721 people comprising 328 males, 172 females and 221 children were given medical aid.
Conduct of such medical camps at remote villages has strengthened ties between the villagers and the Security Forces and provided them with much needed relief.
The relentless endeavor of Joupi Battalion in providing a healing touch to the villagers of all villages of the area was widely appreciated by all.
The gesture will also go a long way in promoting peace and harmony between the local and security forces in the years to come.
