A joint meeting was convened at the office of Uchathol Pioneers Club (UPC), presided by the president of All Jiribam United Clubs' Association (AJUCA) this evening.
The meeting which was attended by the members of AJUCA and UPC along with meira paibis of Uchathol discussed about the matter concerning Jiribam Hospital, Ningshingkhul, said a press release jointly issued by general secretaries of UPC and AJUCA.
It conveyed that the participating members in the meeting expressed their disappointment toward the State Government for their failure to give a positive responses regarding the demand of AJUCA and media persons of Jiribam to look after the needs of the said hospital.
It also condemned the hospital authority and CMO for granting leave to the doctor who are supposed to be on duty yesterday.
Decrying the Government negligence to pay heeds to the demand of local people and CSOs, the statement added that the OPD of the said hospital is banned for 48 hours starting tomorrow's morning (9.30am) .
