Imphal, April 21:
The Pallel Bazar Board Action Committee has charged that transport operators along the Indo-Burma-Sugnu road are charging bus fares in contradiction of the Govt rate.
Substantiating the claim, the Committee said against the govt rate of 44 paise per kilometre the transport operators are levying Rs 20 per passenger for a 40 km from Kakching Lamkhai till Imphal whereas the exact amount liable to be paid based on the Govt rate is only Rs 17.60.
