Various students' unions of colleges in the state have urged the Governor to look into the matter of curfew, which is greatly affecting the academic atmosphere of the state.
Addressing reporters today at the DM College of Arts Canteen, a student leader of Manipur University, Philem Ibosana said curfew has affected the study atmosphere of the students.
He appealed the concerned authority to lift the curfew in the interest of the students' community.
He also said representatives of the college students' unions have handed a memorandum to the ADC to the Governor today.
He also lamented over the fact that the students' representatives were denied appointment with the Governor.
Ibosana said the students' unions have stated in the memorandum that students have been exempted from any general strike or bandh while there is no relaxation for them in the curfew.
The students urged the Govenor to look into the matter.
