Mizoram Chief Minister holds NLUP meeting

New Land Use Policy (NLUP) Apex Board today held high level meeting at NIB conference hall here under the leadership of its Chairman and Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla.
The meeting reviewed and discussed the various plans that have been chalked out for further carrying out of the state government flagship programme NLUP.
NLUP Nodal minister R.Lalzirliana, State Planning Board Vice Chairman H.Liansialova, NIB Chairman J.H.Rothuama, Chief Secretary L.Tochhong and other important officials were present in the meeting.Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla said that concerned department officials need to put more effort so that the flagship programme is carried out in the rightful way.
In the mean time, said the CM, there is the need to take quick steps with regard some particular trades.
Immediate step is required to solve the problem that has occurred because of swine flu, PRRS.
Plan was made in the meeting today for import of healthy piglets.
The NLUP Apex Board meeting also reviewed over required changes and amendments in the plans already made in order that beneficiaries under AH & Vety department may successfully carry out their trades of cattle farming (cow, poultry, and mithun).
The meeting decided to come out with a plan such that the cattle farmers could purchase fodder in a cheaper price, for which AH& Vety department may be provided with raw material subsidy, and outlets may be opened in each district headquarters for convenience of the beneficiaries.
The CM-led NLUP Board meeting also held discussion over the software developed by Radiant Integrity Techno Solution (RITS) to maintain NLUP record in one place.
IT experts may further review the same before use, the meeting decided.
Besides, the meeting reviewed the plans made for Rubber based livelihood project for Agriculture and Rural development of Mizoram chalked out by K.G.Mohanan, Addl Rubber Production Commissioner (Rtd); supply of young fishes and its fodder; captive plantation of pine apple and passion fruit; the project of ZOHANDCO for uplift of weavers.
