Free medical camps at border areas

Imphal, July 13, 2013:
Purva Seema Vikas Pratishthan, a Mumbai based NGO organised free medical camps at different border villages of the state.
A team of 7 doctors from Mumbai conducted the camps.
The team comprising Dr Ghate, Dr Pathare, Dr Chaphekar, Dr Joshi, Dr Prbhulkar, Dr Joshi and Dr Chinchalkar were divided into two groups.
A group went to Ukhrul district and the other to Chandel and Churachanpur districts.
According to a statement issued by Purva Seema Vikas Pratishthan, the Ukhrul team organised two camps at Tusom and Kharamsom villages and around 675 patients from 7 villages were treated while the other team organised medical camps at Tuijang and Tuolbung on 9th July, and Songjang village on 10th July.
A total number of 479 patients were treated in the three camps.
They also organised a camp at Ngaloimun village of Churachanpur district on 12th July and treated 165 patients from four villages.
