3rd phase of Mission Operation outreach conducted at Ukhrul District Hospital

As a goodwill mission, a team of doctors from JNIMS, Imphal conducted third phase surgery today to patients suffering from Stone case, hernia and other minor problem of the district.
With the shortfall of expert doctors in surgery and others, the district hospital could hardly perform any major operation in the theatre.
CMO Dr Ng Raikhan told media persons that with the support from JNIMS doctors, the district set its first operation on April 12 this year as the first phase of the mission operation outreach.
It was 100 percent successful and no compliant was received from the patients.
The main objective of the mission is to reach the medical care, utilize and avail facilities at the minimum cost for extension of the maximum potential of the talented doctors of the State.
The cases of gall stone, hernia, hysterectomy and other minor operations were conducted at the hospital at the nominal rate.
DC, R Sudhan with assistance from the department concerned initiated the mission.
The CMO is indebted to the team of doctors from JNIMS led by Dr (Prof) N Jiten and Thoiba Henba and the supporting staff for their enthusiastic contribution to the Hospital.
