NPF kick-starts poll campaign in Ukl

Following the successful scrutiny of the three NPF candidates of Ukhrul district, who would be contesting the forthcoming elections to the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly, hectic campaign has begun in the three Assembly Constituencies of the district.
With strong support of United Naga Council (UNC), the apex body of all Naga organizations of Manipur, NPF, a Nagaland based political party, has started engaging in election related activities for their respective candidates.
NPF candidate in 44-Ukhrul AC (ST) Samuel Risom, alongwith his workers, visited Sinakeithei village covering Kuki villages like Mulam, Songphel, Pashong, Molnon, Zalenbung, Khumonom, Molsohoi and Mulam Kamsei, before heading to Leisan village.
In 43-Phungyar A/C, NPF candidate Honreikhui Kashung too has kick-started his election campaign.
Members of Co-ordination Cell, Delhi comprising Naga intellectuals are also expected to visit Manipur on January 17 to mobilize the voters in Assembly Constituencies where NPF candidates would contesting the election.
Meanwhile, Publicity Wing of NPF Ukhrul A/C has informed that Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio would be visiting Naga dominated areas in Manipur on January 21 to interact with the people.
