Kangpokpi, June 06 2017:
Motbung Area Women Union (MAWU) has sought the State Government's attention over Motbung Pukhao bridge considering the untold hardships of the people and the importance of the bridge that connects more than 40 villages with the rest of the State.
|
Another bridge at Gundung along Motbung Pukhao road, which was the only road connection in the entire area had collapsed in 2015 and the temporary bamboo bridge constructed over the river was washed away by the recent flood.
Now, the area is completely isolated from the rest of the world while many school children and passers-by face dire grievances and hardships.
MAWU today inspected the bridge and urged the State Government and the authority concerned for immediate redressal.
It warned to launch any form of agitation if the Government fails to hear the grievances of the people, reports our correspondent.
