Imphal, June 23:
Taking serious note of the threats and restrictions imposed on both electronic and print media of the State from different quarters, the Information Centre for Hill Areas Manipur (ICHAM) has appealed to all concerned to withdraw all the threats and restrictions
so that the media can serve the people freely.
A press release issued by the ICHAM observed that the media is an irreplaceable means of disseminating information, knowledge and reporting events.
It is the only bridge connecting different sections of the society,
it noted.
It also appealed to the AMWJU to withdraw its decision of suspending newspaper publications on June 26 .
