Imphal, February 15 2009:
The first Vice-Chancellor of Manipur and retired IAS Officer, Hawaibam Ranbir passed away on February 14.Ranbir, a gold medalist of Calcutta University hold different posts and offices of various State Departments and Central and State Institutions during his lifetime.
He was also a winner of Twentieth Century Achievement award of American Biographical Institute.
He also write books like Khangatpa Sheireng, Vaishnavism in Manipur and Manipur: The Age of Polo and Thereafter.
