Lamka, July 14:
As the dateline given by Churachandpur District Students' Union (CDSU) for realizing of the district's full quota of PDS rice expires without any results, the student body has today declared the imposition of an indefinite bandh starting from Thursday, next week.
A press statement issued by the said, as there is no intimation from the side of the State Government officially or non-officially and, on learning that many of its people are starving in the remote areas because of scarcity of rice in the district, it is left with no choice but to go ahead as already decided.
Only emergency cases on health services shall be exempted during the bandh, it says.
