Test Identification (TI) Parade conducted at the premises of RIMS mortuary is informed to have come to the conclusion that out of three persons killed by security personnel at Bamdiar area today two were actually involved in the rape incident that occurred at a Churachandpur district village on July 9.The said Parade conducted this evening was held based on physical evidences and eye-witness accounts collected/recorded by Investigation Officer (IO) in connection with the rape of Lamneilhing Haokip (20) of Churachandpur's T Phaijol village.
The procedure was held in the presence of Churachandpur district's SDC Md Sirahjur Rahman, SDPO, Second Officer in-charge, the IO and cousin brother (elder) of the young house wife along with images from a video recording.
during the TI parade, the victim's brother identified as one Letsei alias Letkhosei Haokip (35) s/o Jamkhosei of T Phaijol scanned physical details of the three corpses to ascertain whether the trio had committed rape.
On the day of the beastly incident, Letsei and his wife were also reported to be working in the lower slope of the paddy field with Limneihling working in the higher reaches.
Of the three armed persons, two attempted to commit similar act against Letsei's companion only to move away on seeing him before their (accused trio) glare turn to the actual victim, he maintained.
Remembering two of the three perpetrators as one attired in T-shirt with crossed-arms (rifles) on the short sleeve and another with partial face paints, Letsei did not hesitate to point out two of the bodies that were brought and identified at the mortuary as the same duo responsible for subjecting his sister to their beastly act.
The entire images captured during the video recording would be screened for the victim woman again so as to confirm veracity, said police source that further asserted that all three were nevertheless present at the site of the July 9 rape incident.
The Manipur Diaspora Association is likely to filed a complaint with the Government of Manipur in this regard very soon.
The said plot of land was acquired at a low premium from the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) by the State Government during the period of RK Joychandra as the Chief Minister of Manipur for the purpose of setting up a performing art centre for the promotion of the performing arts forms of Manipur among outside people.
