Surprise raid conducted

Senapati District Students' Association
(SDSA), the apex students body of the district
along with its federating units initiated a surprise
raid on business establishments to check expiry
goods sold in shops, pharmacies, grocery shops
and others at Senapati town.
Students from various institutions under
All Private School Association, Senapati
(APSAS) in the presence of Town Planning
Team of Senapati ADC and civil organization
like SDWA and SKWWA took part in
the inspection.
Huge stocks of expired goods
worth around Rs 10,000 in grocery items, Rs
30,000 in medicine and Rs 20,000 in cosmetics
items were recovered which were later
destroyed at Senapati pubic ground.
The raiding team has also sternly warned
the shop keepers against selling expired commercial
goods to the public.
