Imphal, October 31:
The observance of the World Sight Day on the theme of Vision for Children being organised under the instruction of the Government of India since October 1 concluded at District Hospital, Thoubal along with a Bal Jyoti Mela today.
The main objective of the mela was check up the eyes of the school children and detect any possible diseases and other related defects.
During the course of the observance, Ophthalmic Assistants went to the schools to examine the eyes of the students and impart knowledge on protection of eyes.
Consequently, free distribution of spectacles have also been started.
