AISF submits memorandum

The All India Students' Federation, Manipur State Council today submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to implement Inner Line Permit in the State.
A press statement issued by Nongthombam Sanahal, president, All India Students' Federation, Manipur State council, said that the memorandum said that different countries of the world are facing problems of rising number of immigrants in their country.
The memorandum stated that the indigenous people of Manipur are in threat owing to the rising populace of non-Manipuris in the State.
The memorandum urged the Prime Minister to extend the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation 1873, the Inner Line Permit System to Manipur which has been already imposed in Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and some parts of Assam.
It also urged the Central Government to bring an end to the movement of students by implementing ILPS.
