Imphal, May 26 2012:
Keeping up with his assurance to avoid shortage of fertilizers this season, Agriculture Minister Abdul Nasir has initiated certain measures to ship in full quantity of fertilizer (Urea) allocated to the State.
Quantity of Urea allocated to the State for the month of April was 3000 MT.
Out of this, lifting order was given for 2070 MT.
So far, 1650 MT have been shipped in.
Allocation for the month of May is 6400 MT.
As against the lifting order of 5969 MT, 5429 MT have been shipped in so far.
Till date, 7079 MT of Urea have been stockpiled.
