Phuba bodies condemn

Phuba Union (PU), All Phuba Youth & Students' Organization (APYSO) and Senapati Karong Area Phuba Union (SKAPU) in a joint statement have condemned the incident where where two innocent persons were intimidated and physically assaulted at Motbung Bazar on June 23 evening by suspected cadres of an underground outfit who were in an inebriated condition.
According to the joint statement, Th Sho Ramai, associate Pastor of Poumai Baptist Church, Senapati and R Th Hrangao, BSc student were beaten up without any reason while they were returning home from Imphal on June 23 .
The suspected cadres also accused the duo of damaging their car and demanded Rs 3,50,000 as compensation.
After due explanation, the suspected cadres apologised and offered one thousand rupees for medical treatment, the statement said.
The statement urged the State Government to pull up the culprits at the earliest.
It also appealed to all the organizations, associations to condemn such communal act.
