Imphal, April 19 2019:
Apologising to the people on yesterday's incident at Keishampat resulting from a heated argument with the spokesperson of another political party during a TV programme, BJP Manipur Pradesh spokesperson and former Minister Dr Nimaichand Luwang claimed that he did not cross the line and appealed to the people to be the judge.
Speaking to media persons at BJP office today, Dr Nimaichand Luwang alleged that during yesterday's TV programme of a popular TV news channel, the spokespersons of CPI and Congress made numerous harsh remarks and attacks against the BJP.
He claimed that both the CPI and Congress spokespersons accused the BJP of booth capturing, rigging and intimidation during the election yesterday and added that he simply explained that BJP is not the one conducting the election and the final decision regarding any complaint will be taken care of by the ECI.
Admitting that some harsh and abusive languages were exchanged during the incident yesterday, Nimaichand claimed that he did not do anything over the limits and appealed to the public to be the final judge.
On the other hand, he expressed gratitude to the people for coming out in droves to cast their votes in the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency election yesterday.
He also lauded the BJP workers who supported the party and assisted in the election in their respective areas yesterday.
He then claimed that BJP candidate for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, Dr RK Ranjan will surely win the election.
