Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Cricket : Al-Ameen thrash UCC by 78 runs, PTCC top TCMDC

Al-Ameen extended their winning ways by beating UCC by 78 runs in the 1st MCA Under-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2019 organised by Manipur Cricket Association at Heinoupok Ground today.
Al Ameen which won the toss, elected to bat and piled up a modest target of 168 runs for all wickets down in 27.2 overs and held UCC for a paltry 90 runs in the second innings.
Maurya and Anubhav gathered 30 runs each for Al-Ameen in this innings while Zamir and Imran scored 24 and 14 runs to make it 168 runs.
Aditya Prasad of UCC enjoyed a 4 wicket haul in this innings while Vicky and Rajgiri scalped 3 and 2 wickets each.
UCC however bundled out for a meagre 90 runs total in 17 overs although Vicky hit 41 runs in response.
Rajgiri also added 11 runs for UCC in this chase which saw Maurya dismiss 4 crucial wickets and Anubhav and Aziz took 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Maurya who did well in both bat and ball was named man of the match.
PTCC, Patsoi edge past TCMDC, Thongju by 13 runs in a low scoring encounter at Lanthabal Public Ground.
PTCC were bowled out for 41 runs in 18.4 overs after opting to bat first but their bowling department led by Dominic helped redeem themselves in the second innings and restricted the Thongju side for a record 29 runs in 9.5 overs.
Viraj struck the highest for PTCC in the first innings which saw TCMDC's Kalyan enjoyed a seven wicket haul in 5.4 overs while Vivekananda and Valindra picked up 2 and one wicket respectively.
Arbin of TCMDC put up a good showed in the chase but his stint on the crease was shortlived as he went out in the 12th delivery with 16 runs in his name before the remaining order tumbled with no or few runs in quick succession to make a total of 29 runs.
Dominic led the bowling attack for the Patsoi side and scalped 6 wickets alone in 5 overs while Brayansana claimed 3 wickets in 3.5 overs.
Thoiba also picked up one wicket in this innings to help his team romp to a convincing win.
Dominic was latter named man of the match.
CRAU will meet TRAU in the next match tomorrow at Langthabal Public Ground while YWC will meet CYCLONE at Heinoupok.
